+design: Greg Rewerts

Greg Rewerts is the Managing Architect for +design. His career in architecture began in 1970, when he joined one of Rockford’s leading Architectural firms while he was still in high school. His academic training began in 1971, when he attended Rock Valley College’s architectural program. He continued to work as a full-time intern architect while pursuing his college degree. After finishing this program, and getting several years of practice and internships under his belt, Greg took the Architectural Licensing Exams, and became a licensed architect in Illinois and Wisconsin.

In 1986, Greg joined the firm of Myklebust Brockman Associates in LaCrosse, Wisconsin, where he was promoted to studio manager. He sat on the Board of Directors for the Downtown Business Association, and the Preservation Alliance of LaCrosse (a historic preservation society). Eventually, he returned to his hometown of Rockford, Illinois, and achieved his goal of opening a private practice as a new architectural firm. Finally, in 2007, Greg joined Ringland Johnson +design as the Managing Architect.

Because of his many years of hands on experience, hard work, dedication and licensing, Greg has the ability to work effectively with clients and contractors throughout all phases of his projects. He has received four awards for “Excellence in Architecture”. These awards are sponsored by the American Institute of Architecture, and are presented every two years for projects that represent outstanding design excellence.
